Today I have researched another magazine which has is doing the same genre as me and aiming at almost the same people. In order to present my findings I created a slide show on Prezi which will explain 3 different aspects of the magazine, the front cover, the double page spread and the contents page.

Magazine pitch and audience profile










The text below is what I was trying to convey about the video above.

The genre that I would be doing is teen pop and the target audience for my magazine is teenage girls who likes fashion, gossip, latest pop music and pop music bands such as union j and the vamps, another thing that my target audience would like is make up and the latest clothing that their favourite celebrity has worn.

The supporting images in the magazine can consist of Justin Bieber, Taylor swift, Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus.

As my target audience is children and teenage girls from the ages of 8 - 15 they will most likely have no job or a low pay job therefore they wouldn’t have much money to spend, which is why I placed my magazine at £2 which is the monthly price.

As this is a teen pop music magazine I would not include any information about rock music or films.

To relate to the theme, I’ve decided to name my music magazine new generation, which means that we will only write about the latest music produced by the top music pop celebrities.

The main colours that will be on my magazine will be pink, aqua and purple which are a calm and girly colour.

On the double page spread, it will contain exclusive interviews of each of the members and the questions will be the ones that the readers asked for.

Photos for school magazine

 

These are the image that I took for my school magazine that I like, doing this I have learnt that there are certain procedure you must go through before doing this, the first step is to plan what kind of images you want but it must relate to the subject/theme, the second step is to take the picture but you must take in mind the angle and the background not just the person itself.

For example your background should be in a clean environment unless you are trying to show the problems in your school, if that is the case then you should take images of each problem such graffiti on the wall? Trash on the floor? Unhygienic class?
