 The reason why I have considered using the location of a field is because I wanted to portray a clothing style that is suitable for all kind of events; this also applies to the seaside view.

The reason why I chose this girl in the picture is because she has blond hair which can relate to Taylor swift and also she has good sense in clothing which can also use as inspiration to my target audience

This is one of the outfit ideas that I have in mind because the flowery dress makes it look cute and to top it off the light colour blazer makes the whole outfit seem smart yet fashionable and casual, an outfit you can wear too many different occasions such as party, a day out or even a wedding.

Planning

My plan

For my very first step I will need to decide on my genre for my music magazine and what and who I want to put into my music magazine.

Secondly I will need to do some market research to see who my target audience is and what they expect in a pop music magazine.
                                                                                                                                                                                           Thirdly I will create a draft which will show what I will include in my magazine and the layout of which I will do in my final music magazine.

After I have finished my draft I will then start my final music magazine but first I will write the content down( the writing inside the magazine) doing this first before I take the picture will give me ideas of what kind of pictures I want.

 Lastly I will need to plan where I want my image to be and what kind of people I want in my magazine.

Research into a magazine

 This is the research I have conducted in order for me to understand what my audience like and expect.

Below is a magazine, which is not a music magazine however it is still aiming towards a similar age group. Further details on what I have done are explained on this PowerPoint.

As I have researched into similar magazines previously, it has been very helpful for me to understand what I should include, which is why I have decided to do another research into a similar magazine.

Here is another research of which I have conducted in order to see what a music magazine similar to mine contains; Doing this will allow me to understand what I should include in my own magazine. Also by doing this I will then know what it is that can attract my target audience which is teenagers.

Research into similar magazine - 1

Today I have researched another magazine which has is doing the same genre as me and aiming at almost the same people. In order to present my findings I created a slide show on Prezi which will explain 3 different aspects of the magazine, the front cover, the double page spread and the contents page.

 

Magazine pitch and audience profile

The text below is what I was trying to convey about the video above.

The genre that I would be doing is teen pop and the target audience for my magazine is teenage girls who likes fashion, gossip, latest pop music and pop music bands such as union j and the vamps, another thing that my target audience would like is make up and the latest clothing that their favourite celebrity has worn.

The supporting images in the magazine can consist of Justin Bieber, Taylor swift, Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus.

As my target audience is children and teenage girls from the ages of 8 - 15 they will most likely have no job or a low pay job therefore they wouldn’t have much money to spend, which is why I placed my magazine at £2 which is the monthly price.

As this is a teen pop music magazine I would not include any information about rock music or films.

To relate to the theme, I’ve decided to name my music magazine new generation, which means that we will only write about the latest music produced by the top music pop celebrities.

The main colours that will be on my magazine will be pink, aqua and purple which are a calm and girly colour.

On the double page spread, it will contain exclusive interviews of each of the members and the questions will be the ones that the readers asked for.

Photos for school magazine

 

These are the image that I took for my school magazine that I like, doing this I have learnt that there are certain procedure you must go through before doing this, the first step is to plan what kind of images you want but it must relate to the subject/theme, the second step is to take the picture but you must take in mind the angle and the background not just the person itself.

For example your background should be in a clean environment unless you are trying to show the problems in your school, if that is the case then you should take images of each problem such graffiti on the wall? Trash on the floor? Unhygienic class?

Nature magazine

This is the nature magazine which I have created today and during the process of producing this magazine I have learnt how to use Photoshop and how to change the brightness and the contrast of the image.

Not only have I learnt this I have also learnt what tools are used to create a certain effect (horizontal type tool is used if you want to add text) .This image was taken from a Harlow lake which has a lovely scenery.

From doing this work I have realized that there is certain colour that you must use otherwise some of the text may not show.

I have also realized that the magazine must be positioned in a portrait format.

The Brief

Preliminary exercise: produce the front page of a new school/newspaper magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close up plus some approximately laid out text and a mast head. Additionally candidate must produce a mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate their group of the program.

Main task: produce the front page, content and a double page spread of a new music magazine.

All images and text used must be original produced by the candidate, minimum four images per candidate
